Monterey National Horse Show this is a nice free event there will be team sorting, team roping , and an open barrel race.
August 4-5
Watsonville Strawberry Festival This is event is an annual event in it's 18th year. This is the place to be in August to celebrate strawberries. They will be having a children's area and a carnival and strawberries in every shape and size.
August 11
20th Annual Winemakers Celebration located at the Barnyard Event Center. The Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association annual celebration. There will be more than 150 wines and food from many of our Barnyard favorite restaurants live music and a silent auction.
August 14
Concours on the Avenue Ocean Avenue Carmel American and Foreign collectors cars fill downtown Carmel This is the place to come out and see some very rare cars that will only be seen in Carmel.
August 14th -15th
10th Autombilia Monterey This event is at Embassy Suites Monterey Bay in Seaside.this event features posters, photos, signs, books models, badges any types of pins, I have even seen the dealer cards you used to get at the dealer when you are looking at new models here.

Gooding and Company Pebble Beach Auctions
Viewing and auctions at the pebble beach equestrian center. This is a very nice auction I just love come out here.
August 16
Pebble Beach Tour d' Elegance
This is a tour of some truly beautiful vehicles the best place to view it is from behind the wheel of your favorite vehicle but barring that I like to find a spot along Ocean Avenue in Carmel. This tour will take in parts of 17 mile drive as well as some other local roads it's from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Concorso Italiano
Laguna Seca Golf Ranch. This is basically everything Italian. Cars, food, music, you name it if it's from Italy it's here. There will be classic cars motorcycles and even bicycles at this event.

Pebble Beach Retro Auto Exhibition
There will be historic automobilia, original poster art, photography and rare automotive collectibles

Pebble Beach Concourse d' Elegance Many rare automobiles come out onto the 18th fairway at Pebble Beach. For me if I could only attend one event in the Monterey Auto Month It would be this one.
August 24-26
Sand City West End Celebration The West End of Sand City is known to be an area where a lot of local artists have their studio's. So once a year they open up these working art spaces to the public and let you look at what they are working on next. It's a green event and a truly fun time every year. This one is just growing.
August 23- September 3
Monterey County Fair There will be free bull riding and a rodeo. The fair is trying to build the worlds largest Strawberry Shortcake and there will be rides for the kids. Really something for everyone. Not mention all the farm animals that have been raised by the 4h kids so come on out and enjoy yourself at the fair.
