Monterey Events for April 2013


April 4-7
Pebble Beach Food And Wine Festival- there will be over 50 celebrity chefs and 250 wineries at pebble beach for cooking demonstrations, lunches, dinners wine tasting, and the legendary grand tasting.

April 6th
San Antonio De Padua Mission Days Event- this is your chance to see how living at the mission really was back in history. There will be re enactors in period costumes portraying all the people you might find at the mission. From Soldiers to Artists and Vaqueros on horseback. There will be period demonstrations from brick making, tortilla making, weaving, bead making, and face painting. Overall this sounds like a great outing to take as a family.

April 13 and 14
56th annual Good Old Days Celebration in Pacific Grove
This is Pacific Grove at it's finest this is one of the biggest arts and crafts shows in the area. There will be over 220 artists and food vendors in Pacific Grove. There will be a parade down pine st. They typically have old fashioned games and contests this is always a fun weekend no matter your age.

April 18-21
Sea Otter Classic This is a big one if you are anyone in cycling or nobody at all Sea Otter is usually on your calendar. This is the event to see and be seen at. There will be over 10,000 professional and amateur athletes and 40 to 50,000 fans. No matter what facet of cycling you enjoy there is something for everyone. Whether it's the downhill or cross country or stunt riding and road racing there is something here for every type of rider.

April 28th
The Big Sur International Marathon If your idea of fun is to get up and run from Big Sur to Carmel the n this is the race for you. One of the most beautiful marathon courses in the world. There is also a 21 mile Power Walk, a 5k run, a 9 mile walk , a 10.6 mile walk, and a marathon relay. One of the great things about this race besides the view of course is the varied live music along the course everything from taiko drummer to a young piano player and a lot more.
